The Nanih Waiya Community Park is set to open a new space called The Venue at the Park. This is space will primarily be a wedding venue, but it can also be used for more formal events such as banquets, proms, etc. In fact, the Venue already hosted its first event back on April 12th. Nanih Waiya School held their prom at the venue and it was a massive success.
April 23rd the Venue at the Park will be having a Ribbon Cutting at 11AM and a Open House directly after that will end at 1PM. This event is open to the public and is a great opportunity to see the space for yourself. The address is 9185 HWY 490 East Louisville, MS 39339.
The Venue at the Park is already accepting reservations, and dates are already filled. If you would like to inquire about reserving the Venue please contact Tammy Parkes, Event Manager, at either 662-773-7969 or thevenue@nanihwaiyapark.com.

Tammy is excited about serving her community as the Event Manager with the Venue and had this to say about what she is most looking forward about the space, "We are really excited about being able to provide another event space at the park. The park board felt there was a need for a wedding venue separate from the community center, track, and playground. With the Venue we will no longer have to close the entire park for a day due to a wedding." Tammy seemed most excited about the convenience the Venue will provide to Winston County residents, "I'm looking forward to having a venue that is local. We are use to having to go to places like Jackson, Brookhaven, Columbus or Starkville for a wedding. The Venue at the Park will provide a local option for our local brides."
The Venue is truly a state of the art facility and will provide great value for our community and those who use it. You will be hard pressed to find a better space. The Venue at the Park will most definitely be space that local residents and residents from across the state will be using for years to come.

When talking about the Venue, Ellis Houston who helped spearhead the whole project said this, "Everything about the Venue is catered to the experience of the bride. The bridesmaid room is second to none. We have three makeup stations, fridge, sink, and television all in the bridesmaid room. Even the thermostat for the entire venue is in that room so the bride can control how cool or warm the space is on her big day." Mr. Houston also mentioned that the Venue furnishes 200 chairs if needed for your wedding or event. As far as how big the Venue space is Ellis said this, "There is 6500 square feet of useable space. Almost 3500 square feet is covered outdoor space."

Residents of Winston County have let their voices be heard on social media in support of the Venue at the Park.
The Nanih Waiya Park has been a mainstay in the Nanih Waiya community for over a decade. As far as we know, it is the only rural privately funded community park and center in America. The people of Nanih Waiya cherish the park and use it for many community events.

Lifetime Nanih Waiya resident Hailey Moody talked about his favorite event at the park, "My favorite event is the annual Fall Festival. One of the key aspects of the festival is the way it fosters a sense of community spirit. Residents of all ages come together to enjoy the festivities, creating connections and strengthening relationships among neighbors. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with friends, reinforcing the bonds that make our community feel like home."
With the addition of the Venue at the Park, the Nanih Waiya Park continues to add value to the Nanih Waiya community, and to keep residents home to celebrate milestones in their life.
